Diabetes , also known as blood glucose among people, is a disease related to pancreas and its performance in producing insulin hormone. Insulin should be produced sufficiently in body to transform blood glucose to energy and then be distributed to target cells. It occur once pancreas fails to release enough insulin and therefore the level of glucose in individual’s body increases, which itself can cause serious side effects for patient and is considered as a dangerous situation for body. Therefore this hormone acts as a rescue angel for those who are suffering from this disease.
Different types of diabetes
Diabetes type 1
If you are diagnosed with this type of disease, your body will not produce Insulin, itself. Your body’s immune system has damaged your pancreas, which is in charge of producing Insulin, and has damaged its cells .It is usually diagnosed among children and teenagers, however it can be diagnosed at any age.To stay alive, those people who are suffering from this disease need to take Insulin every day.
Diabetes type 2
If you are suffering from this type, it means that your body does not produce enough Insulin, or does not use the Insulin produced properly. It can occur at any age even in children. However, it is mostly observed among older people. It is the most common type all around the world.
Gestational Diabetes
It occurs among some women during their pregnancy .This type of disease, often goes away after giving birth. Those women who are suffering from this type are more in danger of diabetes type 2. Sometimes it is in fact diabetes type 2 which has been diagnosed during pregnancy.

Diabetes type 1
If you are suffering from this type, you have to take Insulin, as your body does not produce this hormone anymore. You have to take Insulin for a couple of times per day. You can also use insulin pump which helps you to have smaller and yet consistent doses during the day.
Diabetes type 2
Those people who are suffering from this type, can easily manage their disease by choosing a healthier lifestyle and more physical activities. Most of these patients, however need medication. These medications can be in different types, such as pills or Insulin injections.
Gestational Diabetes
If you are diagnosed with this type of disease, in the first place, you have to control your blood glucose with choosing healthy foods and regular physical activities. If these methods were not useful, your doctor would prescribe medications such as Insulin or metformin.

Diabetes is usually due to increased level of blood glucose and absence of insulin in blood, which should be produced by pancreas. In this case, body cells will not receive enough energy and symptoms such as sever hunger or thirst, fatigue and frequent urination will be developed. To treat this disease, pills and insulin injections are usually prescribes and patient should control the glucose level in blood in order to prevent further side effects.
